CHFS STUDENT TESTIMONIALS
"I wanted to express my appreciation to you for the outstanding service, food, and education I received. Like I said to you at graduation, the program exceeded my expectations! You are all amazing women and I am grateful to have had our paths cross. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing and presenting all your knowledge and practical experience with us."
~ Daisy R., Bellerose, NY
"It is almost impossible for me to convey to you both just how great of an impact the 4 day training had on me. I learned so much from you and everyone else in the group, too. Even though I had gone organic a few years ago, I was missing the "connection" to food. I knew what to do in my head , but now my heart knows it, as well. I'm really excited to continue on this journey with you and the wonderful new friends that I made at the conference. Thanks to Erica and Chef Jessica for all their support and hard work, too." Love,
~ Suzanne S., Woodmere, NY
"Just wanted to drop you a note to thank you again for having me at the class. I enjoyed it very much, learned a lot, and had WAY more fun than I expected! It was a great group and I'm glad to have met them. Thanks!"
~ Bret S., Hicksville, NY
"Good morning! Thank you SOOOOOOOOO much for the wonderful CHFS class. You truly did a great job and gave of yourselves fully ...in sharing your knowledge and passion with us. I so enjoyed the class! ... With great appreciation for all that you did to make this class a reality..."
~ Laura V., Honeoye Falls, NY
"I just wanted to share with you how excited I am right now! I just completed my PAA (Public Awareness Activity) to staff here at the school that I work for and it went so well! They enjoyed the Ann Cooper video and it got a discussion going on what we can do to change the eating habits and help educate our kids here. It was such a high to share all of this information with them! I knew that I liked public speaking, but it was great to speak about something that I feel educated and passionate about, as well, so I had to share with you! Can't wait until CHFS Chicago 2009! Also, they loved the snacks I made! Mango/papya/pineapple salsa with baked sprouted grain chips and smoked salmon rolls with kefir cheese!" ~ Laura S., Santa Monica, CA |
Description of the CHFS Training...
The CHFS Training is an intensive 40 hour course! Even though the bulk of the CHFS Training takes place during the live, 4-day classroom setting (Thursday - Sunday at each venue), the training actually begins 6 weeks before meeting in person at class. Each enrolled CHFS student is required to attend three, two hour conference calls, spaced at intervals of every two weeks before they come to class. The conference calls will allow students to establish a strong rapport with classmates and instructors. Each conference call will be dedicated to a particular discussion/overview of the training requirements as well as a study session to review the Official CHFS Study Guide to aid students in making a satisfactory mark on their Final Knowledge Assessment, which is given on Day 4 of the live training.
There are several required reading assigments due before class, plus required paperwork (Student Disclaimer and Emergency Consent forms, etc., etc.) that is to be completed, signed, dated and returned to the Immunitrition offices before a student is allowed to participate in the culturing workshops on Day 1 of the live training. A student must also submit an original or modified, wholesome, traditional recipe to share with the class. This recipe must be e-mailed to us as an attachment in Microsoft WORD format, Times New Roman, number 12 font before arriving to the classroom. Each student will receive a complimentary cookbook on Day 4, which will be a compilation of these student recipes along with additional recipes from Immunitrition's very own Head Chef, Jessica Tilli (a.k.a. Chef Jess).
After successfully completing the 4-day live training, each CHFS student is required to conduct a Public Awareness Activity (PAA). This required activity serves to spread the CHFS philosphy - educating communities around the country of the importance of eating a properly prepared, nutrient-rich diet. A proposal outlining the details, date and time of each Public Awareness Activity must first be approved by a Master CHFS Instructor and is due within 1 month from the last day of the 4-day training. Upon approval, each CHFS student must conduct their individual PAA. Five or more guests must attend and evaluate the PAA as proof of its completion. The guest evaluation forms are provided by Immunitrition and are required to be returned within three months of the last day of the 4-day, live training. At this time, the CHFS student will be eligible to receive their official CHFS Certificate!
Immunitrition will also be offering monthly support conference calls for CHFS alumni to stay connected after they have completed their Level I training. A CHFS Yahoo! Group has also been established to provide support and continued community between instructors, graduates, and new CHFS students. (NOTE: The CHFS Yahoo! Group is open to enrolled CHFS students and CHFS alumni ONLY!) Helpful articles, videos, web links, and more are regulary posted to the CHFS Yahoo! Group. Graduates and students are also welcome to join the on-going CHFS Bookclub!
We hope you will join us on on our mission to change the way the world eats! Not only will you learn cutting-edge nutritional information, but you will have loads of fun, eat delicious foods and bond with like-minded people with whom lasting friendships and possibly even business partnerships will blossom.
