Based on the teachings of the great nutritional pioneers of the past and present including Dr. Weston A. Price, Sally Fallon-Morell, Dr. Mary Enig, Dr. Elson Haas MD, Dr. Francis Pottenger, Jr., and Ann Wigmore.
The CHFS Training is an intensive 40-hour course. Even through the bulk of the CHFS Training takes place during the live, 4-day classroom setting (Thursday - Sunday at each venue), the training actually begins 6 weeks before meeting in person at class. Each enrolled CHFS student is required to attend three, two hour conference calls spaced at intervals of every two weeks before they come to class. The conference calls will allow students to establish a strong rapport with their classmates and instructors. Each conference call will be dedicated to a particular discussion/overview of the training requirements, as well as a study session to review the Official CHFS Study Guide to aid students in making a satisfactory mark on their Final Knowledge Assessment, which is given on Day 4 of the live classroom training.
There are several required reading assignments due before class, plus requires paperwork (Student Disclaimer and Emergency Consent forms, etc., etc.) that is to be completed, signed and returned to the Immunitrition offices before a student is allowed to participate in the culturing workshops and Day 1 of the live training. A student must also submit an original or modified, wholesome, traditional recipe to share with the class. Each student will receive a complimentary cookbook on Day 4, which will be a compilation of these student recipes along with additional recipes from past CHFS trainings and Immunitrition's head chefs.
After successfully completing the 4-day live training, each CHFS student is required to conduct a Public Awareness Activity (PAA). This required activity serves to spread the CHFS philosophy - educating communities around the country about the importance of eating a properly prepared, nutrient-rich diet. A proposal outlining the details of each PAA will be approved by a Master CHFS Instructor. Upon this approval, each CHFS student must conduct their PAA to five or more guests within 90 days from the last day of the live 4-day training. At this time, a CHFS student will be eligible to receive their official CHFS Certificate!
For post certification support, a CHFS Yahoo! Group has been established to provide support and continued community between instructors, graduates, and new CHFS students. This group is not open to the public. It is a private group only open to CHFS alumni and students! Helpful articles, videos, web links, and more are regularly posted the the CHFS Yahoo! Group.
